The Subcommittee of US Congress on State and Cross-Border Functions has confirmed the budget for 2010 budget year. According to the resolution of the subcommittee, 48,843 billion dollar from budget will be allotted to guarantee of US national safety and to anti-terror attempts, restoration of diplomatic relations, struggle against health and HIV and to donate to various countries, as well.

EU South Caucasus envoy Peter Semneby believes real progress is being made in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

"I have submitted a document Importance to Study Issue of Political Prisoners in Armenia in the spring session. This question will be debated in the Law and Human Rights Committee during this session. A reporter is likely to be appointed to study problems regarding political prisoners in Armenia and similar countries."

Judges, public prosecutors and lawyers will participate in the trainings to be held 3 days. Their aim is to teach them standards of just court trial and to increase effectiveness of their introduction in practice and to bring rationality of Azerbaijani justice system in accordance with the international norms.

"Azerbaijan issues citizenship to refugees and internally displaced people under the UN Convention on Refugee Status dated 1999. The UN High Commissioner explains that refugees have already received citizenship and the Azerbaijani government supplies them."
