25 January 2010 | Russian FM briefs media on meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidents
Russian FM briefs media on meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidentsMinister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov has today made a statement for the media outlets following a meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia. Lavrov said:

“Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidents have had another meeting. The talks were continued in the last year`s format. The negotiations have strengthened the efforts of OSCE Minsk group`s Russian, US and French co-chairs towards searching for the ways for the peaceful settlement of the conflict, which could satisfy all parties. The concrete proposals by co-chairs have been considered. There is a general agreement confirmed by the sides in the preamble of the document. Everybody considered existence of this document as fruitful, because it allows holding negotiations on the basis of concrete ideas rather than abstract ones. The bottom line is that sides will prepare concrete ideas, surveys about parts of the document which is not agreed and add them into the text. We believe this will be helpful for the co-chairs. So, the negotiations were open and, undoubtedly, effective. The presidents agreed to continue talks”.
