Red Cross committee employees visited Azerbaijani citizen held in ArmeniaInternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) employees visited the Azerbaijani citizen held in Armenia. "We have visited Eldar Tagiyev and informed his family and authorities about him," Tun Vandenhov, head of the ICRC mission in Azerbaijan, told journalists.

Eldar Tagiyev, resident of the Tovuz region, was captured by Armenian armed forces on Dec.28 2009. The ICRC helps Tagiyev keep in touch with his family, Vandenhov said.

The official of ICRC answered to the question about the Armenian family moved to Azerbaijanian side and said that the organization represented by him has no right to define their legal status and whether they committed a crime or not.

"The work carried out by the committee consists of realization of the visit to the captives of the two countries, and holding monitoring of condition of their keeping," Vandenhov said.
