24 August 2009 | Support of International Organizations for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is of great concern in Armenia
Support of International Organizations for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is of great concern in ArmeniaSupport from International Organizations to Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, as well as statements relating to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict only within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity continue to seriously disturb the Armenian public. The Armenians, who can not admit the truth, this time accused and criticized the International European Movement.

The reason was the statement by Secretary-General of the International European Movement Diogo Pinto, who was on a visit to Azerbaijan from 12 to 14 August. In an interview with local media D. Pinto said that the European Movement supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, noted the importance of settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict only within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
His statement seriously concerned public opinion in Armenia. The President of the European Movement of Armenia Victor Yengibaryan in this regard, appealed to the Board of the International European Movement.

Staying true to its traditions, the Armenian press, re-circulating inaccurate information that was allegedly D. Pinto in the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are brought to the fore the principle of self-determination of Karabakh Armenians accused the Azerbaijani media in the dissemination of false information.

These statements of Armenian print media - the false, we have sufficient evidence to prove it. First, there are video tapes to the press conference held by J. Pinto, 14 August in connection with the outcome of his visit to Baku, as well as his interview with the Azerbaijani media. Secondly, the general secretary D. Pinto in response to the letter B.Yengibaryan again stressed the need to respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The letter-complaint V. Yengibaryan said that the statement by D. Pinto caused serious concern at the Armenian community, some members of the European Movement of Armenia even intend to leave the structure.

We can not understand why so worried V. Yengibaryan, invited the representatives of the International European Movement to visit the monument of the so-called «Armenian Genocide», which did not happen in history to date place on the official site map unrecognized by any international organization of so-called «Nagorno-Karabakh Republic»?! Apparently, the reason for concern is already there, and it is - a statement of objective structures.

The Secretary-General of European Movement of Azerbaijan Rashad Hasayoglu reported that on 18 August the European Movement of Georgia, expressing attitude to this issue, supported the statement by D. Pinto in Baku on Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and fair position of secretary general. It is expected that these days will also be issued regarding the European Movement of Turkey to the issue.
