Military exercises launched by Armenian Forces Thursday in occupied territories of Azerbaijan continues. ANS PRESS regional correspondent reports that exercises started at 10.45 am.

The third Armenian Azerbaijani Public Peace Forum was opened with an international Round Table on Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict – Challenges and Opportunities for Building Confidence between Societies in Vienna on 24th March.
According to him compromise is not losing of positions it is a solution of the problem without loses.
Almost 40 Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society leaders, experts, intellectuals gave a start to the events that are going to continue in Vienna until 27th March, “International Alert” informs APA. The three Co-Chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group Ambassador Bernard Fassier, Ambassador Yury Merzlyakov and Matthew Bryza, as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk and Mr. Alexandros Katsanis, representative of the current OSCE Chairman-in-Office, took part in the Forum.

Azerbaijan delegation to make a speech at the meeting. Winter session of OSCE PA will be held in Vienna on February 18. At the meeting Azerbaijan will be represented by parliament delegation, Lent.az informed. The chief of the permanent commission on human rights of Milli Majlis and the member of Azerbaijan delegation for OSCE PA Rabiyyat Aslanova stated that Azerbaijan delegation will make a speech at OSCE PA meeting and will raise issues on Mountainous Karabakh conflict, military operations of Armenian terrorists and their cultivation of narcotic plants in the occupied lands. According to the head of the Commission the issue about military equipment and weapons sold by Russia to Armenia will be the focus of attention.

Secretary General of the Council of Europe believes that destruction of historical monuments on the occupied territory of Azerbaijan is a “blow to Europe and the entire world”. “Destruction of historical monuments on the occupied territory of Azerbaijan is a blow not only to Azerbaijan but also Europe and the entire world,” CE Secretary General Terry Davis said in Baku on 2 December. CE Secretary General regretted delaying of a visit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mission on Culture, Cultural and Natural Heritage to Azerbaijan and Armenia. Azerbaijan requested PACE to send the cultural heritage mission to the occupied territory to examine the remaining in these regions historical and cultural monuments of the country.

The book is called “Garabakh – eternal memory of our heritage” and was published by the initiative of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. The book contains over 300 colored illustrations and photos of monuments all located in the occupied territories. Not only architectural monuments but also archeological objects and plastic art examples are expressed in the book. The materials are presented following the certain Azerbaijani regions they belong which are under Armenian occupation presently. The book is also provided with illustrative materials about the most grandiose monuments. Finally, the book presents glossary concerning historical personalities as well as the list of historical-cultural monuments described in the book. The book has been published in Azerbaijani and English languages. The book will play great role in acquaintance of the country and international community with the Azerbaijan cultural heritage and will be a very important source for conducting monitoring on the following situation. Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan is planning to publish several books on the same subject in future.

The trilateral meeting of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russian presidents held at the Russian leader`s Mayendorf residence in Moscow. After the meeting Ilham Aliev, Serzh Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev signed joint declaration on Dagliq Karabakh. President Dmitry Medvedev acquainted journalists with the text of the Declaration and stated that the presidents had discussed concretely the perspectives of the regulation of the Daqliq Qarabaq conflict through political means and through continuing a direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
