25 November 2008 | 30 complaints from 3 regions
The citizens of the Northern regions blame the representatives of municipalities and regional land departments in corruption. Foundation for Fight against Corruption started to “Social Barrister Service” in Khachmaz. The project intends to arrange juridical assistance to citizens faced with corruption, to give recommendations and to direct the complaints and applications to state bodies for examination. 30 people from Guba, Davachi and Khachmaz applied with the complaints on corruption to Social Barrister Service, the executive director of the foundation Vasif Movsumov told Lent.az. According to him mostly these complaints are about municipalities and regional land departments, court executors and the other local state bodies on land issues. “The foundation lawyers received the complaints and applications, talked to citizens and gave juridical assistance”-said the executive director. Vasif Movsumov stated that the complaints would be sent to the Commission for Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
