Administrative control over municipalities to be strengthenedThe press service of the Ministry of Justice informed that as a result of the investigations held last year as administrative control, it was revealed that several municipalities seriously violated the law. The lands were illegally taken out of the circulation or rented without taking into account a market price or action rules. The documents were falsified and other law violations were admitted.

As a result, it turned out that AZN 4,1 million damage was done by the Shamkir region Garajamirli municipality, AZN 3,6 million - by the Binagadi region Xojasanmunicipality, AZN 1,3 million - by the Sabunchu region Pirshagi municipality and AZN 337,000 - by the Guba region Nugedi municipality.

The similar violations were also revealed in other local self-government bodies, including the Oguz region Filfili and Khalkhal, the Astara region Archivan, the Samukh region Giyasli, the Baku city Nasimi and the Garadakh district Sahil municipalities.

The materials connected with these 10 municipalities were submitted to the General Office of Public Prosecutor to institute a criminal case. The measures are being taken to strengthen the rule of law in the activity of municipalities.
