Monitoring on children’s rights to be held in AzerbaijanMonitoring will be conducted within the framework of the project of international children organizations. The UNICEF, the UN Supreme Commissariat on Human Rights, “Rescue the Children” and “World Outlook” Organizations, as well as the SOROS Fund and the Alliance on Human Rights NGO are holding a number of events on the occasion of Children’s Year, the head of the NGO Alliance on Human Rights, Nabil Seyidov informed ANS PRESS. According to him, the local NGOs will present an alternative report on ensuring children’s rights in Azerbaijan.

This report will cover a number of issues including all the spheres of children’s rights, healthcare, education and protection against violence. More than 70 organizations represented in the alliance are taking part in the monitoring. “All the shortcomings discovered during the monitoring will be reported to the UN Commission on Human Rights and the Azerbaijani government, as well as other local and international organizations.” Seyidov said.
