Azerbaijan Anti-Torture Committee conducted monitoring in four police offices of Azerbaijan. The committee inspected the preliminary detentions of the police offices in the regions of Beylagan, Bilasuvar, Imishli and Salyan, committee chairman Elchin Behboudov told APA. They faced with complaints in the detention of Salyan regional police office. Six of eight detainees said they were tortured by former deputy police chief Mirzaga Gafarov. Behboudov said they would reports to the Interior Ministry about the results of the monitoring.
