The representatives of Ombudsman have made a monitoring in pre-trial prisons number 3 of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and departments number 4 and 7 of Binagadi district police of Ministry of Internal Affairs, departments number 1 and 2 of Azizbayov district police station and the detention centre of the police station. On the basis of the notification the press service of Ombudsman provided APA, the representatives have visited and spoken to the detainees in those institutions and they have explained to them their rights. The detainees mentioned that their rights had not been violated during the time they had been detained and expressed their gratitude for the condition and the treatment of the employees.

The representatives of the Ombudsman have met I.R who is detained in pre-trial prison number 3 under article 234.4 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic and who is a hunger strike. During the conversation, he has said that the inspector of Narimanov district Police Station had implemented the criminal case biased and as a protest to his transferance to the Court on Severe Crimes Issues of Azerbaijan Republic in the end he is keeping hunger strike and he refused to go to the court. The representatives of Ombudsman have recommended him to stop hunger strike which is bad for his health.
