Number of people immigrated to Azerbaijan is under the constant control of the State Migration Service. "About 99 foreigners illegally staying in Azerbaijan have been deported within nine months. Increase in the number of Chinese people is not observed in Azerbaijan. This difference hits 200 people since early 2009," head of the service Arzu Rahimov told media.

People immigrate to Azerbaijan mainly from Russia and Georgia. Most of these people are Azerbaijanis, Rahimov said. "Besides Russia and Georgia, people from Iran, Turkey, Great Britain, Germany and Middle Asia immigrate to Azerbaijan," Rahimov said.
