The process of submitting and filing candidature for the municipal membership goes on. The press service of the Central Election Committee reported that, in accordance with 1718 municipalities, 34 thousands 131 people`s candidacy had been confirmed so far. 33 thousands and 431 people out of those who were announced as candidates, have got signature sheets from the district election commission and 29 thousands 533 people out of them have submitted the signature sheets and other necessary documents to convenient district election committees in order to get registered as candidates.

In accordance with 1717, candidacy of 26 thousands 462 people has already been filed. Thirteen thousands 697 people out of those whose candidacy are registered have higher education and 5 thousands 592 people are women.

Seven thousands 864 people out of those whose candidacy are registered are non-party people, but the others represent 29 political parties. Twenty-two political parties have officially joined the election marathon and presented their candidates for municipal membership.

In accordance with 1718 municipalities, 15 thousands 682 municipal members are supposed to be elected in this year`s elections. It is possible to acquire information on the candidacy and and their registration in the official website (www.msk.gov.az; www.cec.gov.az; www.infocenter.gov.az) of the Central Election Committee.
